The Board
The Nordic World Heritage Association shall be governed by a Board of Directors who is the supreme body of the Nordic World Heritage Association. The administration of the Nordic World Heritage Association belongs under the Board of Directors, which shall ensure that the purpose of the Association is protected according to the purpose and the regulations.
The Board of Directors of the Nordic World Heritage Association can have 10 members: two from The Danish Realm, two from Finland, two from Norway, two from Sweden and two from Iceland.
Members of The Board of Directors are appointed by the annual meeting of the respective National World Heritage Associations. In the case of the absence of a National World Heritage Association, an equivalent meeting in the respective National World Heritage Group appoint the national members.
The period of office shall be for two years and appointment conducted in such a manner that five members, one from each country, shall be up for appointment each year.
